Server rules

We keep these short and readable on purpose. They exist so everyone gets to enjoy the city, not to catch you out. If something here is unclear, ask - we would rather explain than punish.

The basics

MoonHaven is an 18+ server. You need to be 18 or older to play here, and there are no exceptions to that one.
One account per person. No account sharing and no selling accounts.
Advertising other servers is not allowed anywhere.
Playing here is free and always will be. Battle passes and login rewards cost in-game money at most - never real money. The one exception is bringing your own car into the city: $10 per vehicle, up to two per person. Nothing else on this server costs real money, and nothing else ever will.

Be kind first

Treat everyone with respect, in the city and in Discord.
Your character is not a different person. Anything cruel said or done in the city counts exactly the same as saying it out of character - "it was my character talking" has never made something okay, and roleplay is not a place to put things you could not say otherwise.
No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism or harassment. There is no in-character excuse for any of it.
Slurs are never acceptable, including as roleplay.
What is said out loud counts the same as what is typed. Harassment in city voice or in a Discord voice channel is treated exactly like harassment in chat - and "it was only voice" has never been a defense.
If someone asks you to stop, stop. Sort it out between you, or report it - /report in the city, or a ticket on our Discord.
No mic spam, soundboards or deliberately loud audio - in the city or in a voice channel.

When something goes wrong

Report it: /report in the city opens a form that reaches on-duty staff, or open a ticket on our Discord. Either works. Do not argue it out in chat mid-scene.
Screenshots or a clip make everything easier for staff.
Staff decisions are final, but you may always ask for the reasoning.
Impersonating staff, or claiming a decision they did not make, is a ban.
Do not evade a ban — it only makes the ban longer. One exception: if you are banned from this Discord and want it looked at again, you may rejoin on another account to open an appeal ticket. Say who you are, and use it for nothing else.
We can only deal with what happens here. If it happened in another game, another Discord or on a different server, it is not ours to judge — even when both of you are members here. Report it where it happened.
If it follows you here, though, it IS ours. Someone bringing a fight from somewhere else into our city, our channels or your DMs is breaking our rules by doing that, and we will deal with that part.

Roleplay, lightly

Roleplay here is optional. Be yourself, play casually, or stay in character all evening - all of it is welcome, and nobody has to justify how they play.
The one scene rule: if someone is roleplaying with you, stay in it until the scene ends. That means acting the way your character would, not forcing an outcome they could not achieve, and not using anything they could not know. Step out of the scene and none of it applies.
No RDM (killing someone for no reason) or VDM (running people over for fun).

Crime & conflict

Crime needs a reason. Robbing someone should be a story, not a chore.
Do not rob, kidnap or kill new players who are clearly still finding their feet.
No combat logging - leaving the server to escape a scene.
After a scene ends, do not return to it for revenge.
Green zones - hospitals, the city hall and spawn areas - are off limits for crime.

Cheats & bugs

No cheats, mod menus, injectors or exploits. This is an instant, permanent ban.
Found a bug? Report it. Using it is abuse and is treated as cheating.

Rules can change as the server grows. Anything important is announced in Discord before it takes effect.
